Founded in Prague by two friends who met during architecture studies at the AAAD, our practice was born out of shared curiosity and optimism. We approach each project—whether it’s a piece of furniture, a home, or an urban masterplan—with the same care, attention, and contextual sensitivity. No scale is too small, no challenge too complex.
The role of the architect extends beyond the built environment. It’s about identifying and amplifying potential—social, spatial, environmental. Every site, every brief holds hidden opportunities, and we see it as our task to bring them to light through thoughtful, ethical, and sustainable design.
Architecture is never one-size-fits-all. We treat each commission as a unique conversation between place, people, and purpose. That’s why Makeshift Office isn’t just our name—it’s a reflection of our ethos: flexible, responsive, and always ready to adapt.
